Abstract:Abstract：Growth retardation in children is a common pediatric growth and developmental disorder. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory，its occurrence and progression are closely related to dysfunction of the spleen and kidney. Based on the core pathogenesis of "kidney essence deficiency as the initiating foundation and spleen transport dysfunction as the key link，" this article applies the core therapeutic principle of simultaneous regulation of the spleen and kidney to explore the clinical mechanism of Chinese medicine acupoint application （commonly known as growthpromoting patch） in treating growth retardation in children. Through the synergistic action of medicine formulas and meridian acupoints， the growth-promoting patch achieves the dual regulatory pathways of "supplementing the innate constitution and strengthening the acquired constitution， " effectively alleviating the core symptoms of growth retardation in children and promoting growth and development. This external treatment method is safe， easy to implement， and well-accepted by children. When combined with individualized syndrome differentiation and comprehensive lifestyle management，it embodies the holistic concept of "combined internal and external treatment with simultaneous regulation of body and spirit" in traditional Chinese medicine， thus providing a distinctive therapeutic approach for clinical practice.
