Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Zhizhuoning in the treatment of hyperlipidemia of phlegm-turbidity obstruction type. Methods:A total of 102 patients with hyperlipidemia who met the diagnostic criteria and visited Dongguan Hospital of Guangzhou Universaity of Chinese Medicine from November 1, 2024,to November 30,2025,were enrolled. They were randomly divided into a trial group and a control group using a random number table method, with 51 cases in each group. The control group received Xuezhikang Capsules, while the trial group received oral administration of Zhizhuoning, both for a course of eight weeks. Changes in blood lipid parameters, traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores, and safety indicators were observed before and after treatment in both groups, and the clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated. Results: The baseline data of the two groups were balanced and comparable before treatment. After treatment, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores in both groups improved to varying degrees compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the TC level in the trial group was lower than that in the control group, and the reductions in TC and LDL-C levels were greater in the trial group than in the control group (P<0.05). The decreases in primary and secondary symptom scores in the trial group were also greater than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate in the trial group was 90.20%, which was higher than the 72.55% in the control group. No significant adverse reactions were observed in either group during treatment. Conclusion:Zhizhuoning can improve blood lipid levels and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome manifestations in patients with hyperlipidemia of phlegm-turbidity obstruction type. It shows certain advantages in lowering TC and LDL-C levels and alleviating clinical symptoms, and exhibites good short-term safety.
