Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of eight-section brocade combined with five-note therapy in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type. Methods:A total of 108 CFS patients admitted to Kunming Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2024 to June 2025 were selected and divided into the control group A,the control group B,and the observation group with 36 cases in each group according to intervention methods. Control group A received eight-section brocade intervention, control group B received five-note therapy, and the observation group received eight-section brocade combined with five-note therapy. All three groups were intervened for two weeks. The clinical efficacy,Fatigue Scale-14 (FS-14) scores, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment were compared among the three groups. Results:After intervention, the total effective rate was 88.9% (32/36) in the observation group,77.8% (28/36) in the control group A,and 75.0% (27/36) in the control group B. The difference among the three groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of both physical fatigue and mental fatigue in the three groups decreased compared with those before intervention, and the differences in physical fatigue and mental fatigue scores among the three groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). The physical fatigue and mental fatigue scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group A and the control group B, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in physical fatigue and mental fatigue scores between the control group A and the control group B (P>0.05). After intervention, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the three groups decreased compared with those before intervention, and the difference among the three groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group A and the control group B,with statistically significant differences (P< 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the control group A and the control group B (P>0.05). Conclusion: Eight-section brocade combined with five-note therapy has a good clinical effect on CFS of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type. It can effectively relieve fatigue and related clinical manifestations of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type, and its effect is superior to using eightsection brocade or five-note therapy alone.
