Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Kouyanqing Granules combined with Kangfuxin Liquid in treating recurrent oral ulcer. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on 68 patients with recurrent oral ulcer treated at Xinchang Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from January 2022 to December 2024. They were divided into a study group and a control group according to different treatment methods, with 34 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment, while the study group received additional Kouyanqing Granules based on the control group's treatment. Both groups were treated for two weeks. Clinical efficacy was evaluated, and symptom improvement time, sleep quality, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Immune function indicators and inflammatory markers were measured, and the recurrence rates at three months and six months after treatment were recorded. Results:The total effective rate was 85.29% (29/34) in the study group, higher than that of 58.82% (20/34) in the control group (P<0.05). The duration of pain, wound healing time, and eating improvement time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). At three months and six months after treatment, the recurrence rate in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ levels increased compared to before treatment in both groups, while CD8+ levels decreased (P< 0.05). The study group showed higher CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ levels and lower CD8+ levels than the control group (P< 0.05). After treatment, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1, and IL-6 levels decreased in both groups compared to before treatment (P<0.05),and the study group had lower levels of these inflammatory markers than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores decreased, while Quality of Life Scale-100 (QOL-100) scores increased in both groups compared to before treatment (P<0.05). The study group showed lower PSQI and VAS scores and higher QOL-100 scores than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Kouyanqing Granules combined with Kangfuxin Liquid has good efficacy in treating recurrent oral ulcer. It significantly improves clinical symptoms, enhances immune function, and improves sleep quality and quality of life.
