Construction of a Three-Level Synergistic System Integrating "Acupoint, Timing, and Manipulation" for Reinforcing-Reducing Acupuncture Based on the Five- Transport Points
Abstract:This paper addresses the current clinical issue of insufficient integration among point selection, timing, and manipulation in reinforcing and reducing acupuncture. It proposes a three-level synergistic system framework centered on the five-transport points, integrating acupoint, timing, and manipulation. The framework utilizes the fivetransport points as the core targets for reinforcing and reducing interventions, leveraging their characteristics as key nodes in meridian qi circulation and their practical operability. Point selection follows the principle of "in cases of insufficiency, tonify the 'mother' organ, while in cases of excessiveness, purge the 'child' organ" through the fivetransport points on the same meridians, exterior-interior meridians, same-name meridians, and mother-child meridians. The timing of treatment is optimized by integrating the the optimal timing for mother-child hour-branch point selection method. These are combined with reinforcing and reducing treatments. Furthermore, it combines reinforcing and reducing manipulation such as depth-based, direction-based, twirling and rotating, lifting-thrusting, speedbased, and respiration-related, to form a three-in-one, clearly structured comprehensive therapeutic pathway for reinforcing and reducing acupuncture.
