Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Huang'e Capsules combined with Milin Granules in the treatment of chronic prostatitis of damp-heat and stasis type. Methods:A total of 108 patients with chronic prostatitis of damp-heat and stasis type treated at Taizhou Central Hospital from December 2022 to December 2024 were retrospectively selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment regimens, with 54 cases in each group. The control group received oral Huang'e Capsules, while the observation group received additional Milin Granules on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for six weeks. Clinical effects were evaluated. The scores of National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIHCPSI), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, urodynamic parameters, and inflammatory markers were compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions was recorded. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was 88.89%( 48/54),which was higher than 72.22%( 39/54) in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the maximum urinary flow rate, average urinary flow rate, and maximum detrusor pressure were increased, and the pre-voiding waiting time was shortened in both groups compared with that before treatment (P<0.05); and the maximum urinary flow rate, average urinary flow rate, and maximum detrusor pressure in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the pre-voiding waiting time was shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the NIH-CPSI scores, white blood cell (WBC) count, and levels of interleukin-8 (IL-8) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) were decreased in both groups when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05); and the NIH-CPSI scores, WBC count, and IL-8 and IL-10 levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Huang'e Capsules combined with Milin Granules can improve the clinical effect, ameliorate related clinical symptoms and urodynamic parameters, reduce inflammatory response, and the therapy exhibits good safety in the treatment of chronic prostatitis of damp-heat and stasis type.
