Abstract: This article introduces Professor XIE Wei's clinical experience in treating pulmonary nodules with modified Wumei Wan based on the theory of five circuits and six qi. Professor XIE believes that there is a close relationship between the changes in yearly circuit and guest qi and the lungs. Pulmonary nodules can be differentiated and treated from three dimensions: differentiating the time, differentiating the individual, and differentiating the disease. Common clinical syndromes include cold-heat complex, cold-damp predominance, and fire-heat predominance. Wumei Wan,with its formula combining aggressiveness and gentleness, can both clear the upper and warm the lower, and can both support healthy qi and eliminate pathogenic factors, aligning well with the pathogenesis of pulmonary nodules. Based on this formula, modifications or combinations with other formulas are made according to the circuit qi of the first half of a year and the circuit qi of the second half of a year,as well as the patient's constitution, with adjustments tailored to the specific syndrome.
