Abstract: Objective: To integrate and analyze the medication patterns and prescription characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine for hypertension in the Lingnan region over the past 25 years (2000-2025) using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing System (TCMICS),based on databases such as CNKI,Wanfang, and VIP,in order to provide evidence-based support for clinical practice. Methods:Literature related to hypertension in the Lingnan region was retrieved and screened. The TCMICS V3.5 was utilized to analyze drug frequency,properties, flavors, meridian tropism, association rule analysis, and cluster analysis. Results: A total of 59 articles were included, comprising 91 prescriptions and 205 Chinese medicinal herbs. The most frequently used herbs were Poria, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. The primary herb properties were cold, neutral, and warm, with sweet, bitter, and pungent as the predominant flavors. The meridians most commonly targeted were the liver, spleen, and lung. The main therapeutic effects included tonifying deficiency, clearing heat, promoting diuresis and percolating dampness, and calming the liver to extinguish wind. Association rules identified core herb pairs such as Poria-Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma-Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis, Poria-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. K-means cluster analysis yielded four associated prescriptions. Conclusion: The traditional Chinese medicine treatment of hypertension in the Lingnan region focuses on fortifying the spleen,dispelling dampness,resolving phlegm,and calming the liver,while also tonifying deficiency and clearing heat. This reflects the principle of tailoring treatment to local conditions and individual characteristics.
