Abstract:Objective:To observe the effects of du moxibustion combined with microwave on interferon γ-induced protein 10 (IP-10), interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-17 (IL-17), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and immunoglobulins IgM,IgG,and IgA in patients with tuberculous pleurisy (TP). Methods:A total of 100 TP patients admitted to the Fourth Department of Tuberculosis at Shandong Public Health Clinical Center from August 2023 to July 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a western medicine group and a combination group using the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The western medicine group received quadruple anti-tuberculosis drug therapy, while the combination group received additional du moxibustion and microwave therapy on top of quadruple anti-tuberculosis drug therapy. Changes in IP-10,IFN-γ,IL-17,TNF-α,IgM,IgG,and IgA levels, as well as clinical symptom scores, were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results:After treatment,IP-10,IFN-γ,IL-17,and TNF-α levels decreased in both groups compared to before treatment (P< 0.05),with lower levels in the combination group than in the western medicine group (P<0.05). After treatment,IgM, IgG, and IgA levels increased in both groups compared to before treatment (P<0.05), with higher levels in the combination group than in the western medicine group (P<0.05). After treatment, clinical symptom scores for fatigue, aversion to cold, chest tightness, and shortness of breath decreased in both groups compared to before treatment (P< 0.05), with lower scores in the combination group than in the western medicine group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Du moxibustion combined with microwave effectively suppresses inflammatory responses, enhances immunity, and alleviates clinical symptoms in patients with TP.
